India - The Family India organized “Coloring the World,” a special event for 571 underprivileged children from 12 institutions in Bangalore. The event included an array of activities such as T-shirt painting, pottery, card-making, and face painting. The children also went horseback riding and played lots of games. Each child received a new set of clothes, a backpack, a water bottle, snacks, and a delicious meal—all donated by concerned friends. Each institution also received a sports kit consisting of cricket, badminton, and soccer equipment. Our heartfelt thanks to all those who made this unforgettable day possible. | More photos from India
The Family International is active in evangelistic and humanitarian work in over 90 countries. For an in-depth view of our work around the world, please visit the profiles for each country or region.
The Family International is committed to spreading the message of God's love and hope, and putting this message into action. Members endeavor to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, whose ministry was to "preach the Gospel" and to "heal the brokenhearted" (The Gospel of Luke, chapter 4, verses 18–19).
Our volunteers aid the disadvantaged through a variety of programs, providing humanitarian assistance for victims of disasters; medical aid, food, and clothing for the underprivileged, homeless shelters, meal programs, and refugee camps; visitation programs at hospitals, orphanages, prisons, and institutions for juvenile offenders.
Our volunteer efforts extend beyond providing humanitarian assistance to those in need, to providing spiritual assistance to people from all walks of life. Today's world is a complex, materialistic one, where the important values of love and faith are often neglected. Family volunteers strive to meet the need by providing counsel and support to young and old alike, helping them in their hour of need.
